Well, as we exit recession and enter a bright new dawn of prosperity, I am pleased to report that the number of vacancies across a sample of job boards for Regional Private Practices rose from 1034 last week to a figure of 1075 this week (+1% on last year).

The Weekly Vacancy Index
Whilst unemployment may be falling, I am disappointed to report that the number of vacancies across Regional firms also fell this week from 1103 last week to 1034 this week. This week’s figure is 3% up on the corresponding figure last year.

It’s been a decnt week in terms of uplift in the number of vacnacies – this week’s figure is up to 1103 from last week’s 1024. This week’s figure is 13% up on the lfl figure last year – that’s the highest lfl lift since we began recording figures.

Happy New Year! The index has started with a figure of 1024 – up slightly from the last figure before Christmas and up 10% on the corresponding week last year.

Last week saw one of the monitored websites change its search engine which has seen figures from said website drop slightly as I can no longer Search on exactly the same perameters as before. However, we shall carry on regardless! So, after a drop to 1010 last week, the index has rallied significantly to to 1160 this week. A figure which is 4% higher than the lfl figure last year.

A disappointing week with the volume of vacancies dropping from 1210 last week to 1156 this week, although this week’s figure is 2% on the LFL figure for 2008.

Another solid week, which has seen the volume of vacancies increase from 1192 to 1210 this week (+7% on 2008). This week’s figure is the fourth highest of 2009 and is only 82 short of the record for the year. As the rate of newly unemployed declines, this slow and steady improvement looks set to continue.

It has been another week of encouraging growth, with volumes rising from 1136 last week to reach 1192 this week (+7% on last year), a figure which represnts a 4 month high.

The number of vacancies is down slightly this week to 1136 from last week’s 1183. This week’s figure is 5% up on the LFL figure for 2008.

This week’s figure sees another healthy rise 1130 to 1183, which is 5% up on the corresponding figure for last year. the level of vacancies has risen by 9% over the last 2 weeks.
